HIV and AIDS Students |
| Master of Arts in HIV and AIDS in Relation to Theological Studies
This course prepares students for biblically informed and professionally equipped leadership
in programmes that address the HIV and AIDS pandemic in Ethiopia and beyond.
Entrance Requirements |
- Minimum qualification at first degree level in related disciplines (e.g. social sciences, natural sciences, theology, health sciences) or graduate/student of an EGST programme,
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 (non-theological background); 2.75 (undergraduate theological background); 3.0 (EGST programme)
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) administered by EGST with a minimum score of 500,
- Interview by panel of EGST faculty members.

Master of Arts in Leadership and Managment
This degree integrates the study of leadership and management philosophies, principles
and practices with contextually relevant biblical and theological perspectives to equip
students to become effective and efficient leaders and managers in the Church and other
organisations in Ethiopia and beyond.

- Minimum qualification at first degree level in related disciplines (e.g. sociology, business or management studies, theology, political science, economics or graduate/student of an EGST programme,
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 (non-theological background); 2.75 (undergraduate theological background); 3.0 (EGST programme)

MBATS
This degree combines breadth of study across the theological disciplines with
focused study in one of four areas of concentration. This prepares students primarily
for educational ministries in the church, institutional or mission setting.
Entrance Requirements |
- BTh or similar first degree in theology with a minimum GPA of 2.75,
- First degree in a non-theological subject with a minimum GPA of 2.5 plus a minimum of 2-years undergraduate theological studies with a minimum GPA of 2.75,
- 1-year New Testament Greek with a minimum grade of ‘C’ or a pass in the Greek competency test administered by EGST,
- (for Old Testament Specialisation only) Hebrew,
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) administered by EGST with a minimum score of 500,
- Interview by panel of EGST faculty members.

The Master of Theology (MTh)
On the MTh programme, the student is prepared for ministries of teaching and writing and for PhD studies through undertaking original research that relates their chosen theological discipline to the Ethiopian context.
Entrance Requirements |
- MDiv degree (3.3 minimum GPA),
- Grade of B or higher in MDiv Independent Paper/Project (or similar qualification from MDiv degree programme in another institution),
- Proposed thesis topic
- Interview by panel of EGST faculty members

30 credits with the successful public presentation and defence of the thesis. |

Post Graduate Diploma in Biblical and Theological Studies
The Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) provides a route into theological studies for candidates holding a first degree in a subject other than theology.
Entrance Requirements |
- First degree in a subject other than theology,
- Minimum GPA of 2.5,
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) administered by EGST with a minimum score of 500,
